I love hearing about these condition ratites. I can’t tell the difference between the higher uncirculated grades most of the time. It would make a great video to see you explain it with several types of US coins. 👍

Stephen Parsons It took me forever on 82 pennies finding that small 2. and series of 7 or 8 different types but for sure if your holding a MS 67 and above you WILL know it. I always compare to another but have best luck taking pics of coins. You often see unexpected surprises you will miss with your eye, ok mine not so good...anyway Anytime I wonder if its MS I know its proberly not because when you hold that special one you just melt in awe, then do the happy dance.

Kidding aside. You do a lot of videos with graded coins. Can you do a video explaining the grading and what is looked at. I am wanting to send out a few for grading but am unsure about my particular grading eye and would hate to think of something as a ms67 and it come back a 65 because I missed a scratch , a spot. How can I learn this?

Hey with the older coins and toning of these older. coins how do the tell the difference between proof and circulated I know the difference between these coins but it can be tough onolder ones

Good luck finding these grades,you can buy a million mint sets and not get anything over 66 grading is subjective and the market is controlled regardless to whatever videos you see if it was that easy every collector would be rich so don’t quit your day job it’s very very tough not trying to discourage you guys just being honest

That’s the problem… They only way these are of this value is if they are rated of ‘Mint Conditlion’ is pretty much just Proof that they haven’t been open. I know what mint condition means, and that man third can’t even hardly be up scratch on it. So you’re not gonna find them and spare change only wrapped up in a proof set. Getting one that looks as clean as a proof set that’s been Circularized it’s about one in 1 million. At least that’s what my Coin Dealers at his shop told me. Am I right?

If its not perfect condition 10/10 no scratches go sell it for a dollar if its perfect follow the directions. If you have a perfect coin go pay 35$ to get it graded. If it comes back MS68 MS69 you win! Go sell it on Heritage Auctions. If its not perfect congrats you have a quarter worth about 25cents up to 3$ max. Lol.

Download a app called Photograde and CoinFacts, both can help you find a reasonable grade or atleast the range of what your coin can be worth. You just have to do a little work if youre looking for someone to do that for you instead then youre probably SOL. But yeah i use CoinFacts, PCGS Price Guide, and PCGS PhotoGrade . Those 3 are super helpful. Easy to use too.

I have 150 silver quarters “in circulation” from 1934-1964. I’m afraid to sell them for melt value, because there may be extremely valuable ones mixed in, and I have no familiarity with the ones that are valuable.
