Hard to believe it has been since 1970, this team was iin the Stanley Cup Finals. Hard to believe they have waited 52 years for this to happen. Hard to believe this team struggled early in the season and in mid season, the fortunes turned around for this team thanks to new players added to the roster. After so many losing seasons and heartbreak as a franchise, this underdog team deserved the victory and was in need of a celebration. Congratulations St. Louis Blues!

I give Columbus partial credit for this. That series against Boston was a very hard hitting one. Columbus gave them all they could handle. Although Boston swept Carolina, I think once St. Louis started applying their heavy style of hockey the effects of the Columbus series started to show.

Bro, I'm a Blues fan...and more importantly a hockey fan. I'm pointing to the fact that the Columbus series against Boston definitely took a toll on Boston. Obviously the Blues had a very long, tough road to the cup. Winnipeg, Dallas, San Jose, and Boston are no slouch. The Blues heavy style of play allowed them to go the distance.
