You can use the dishes on all the kits , these will help with the geometry on the top. The great advantage is that you can create the geometry on the sides as well so the box will mate. This is all about the joinery. The better things mate the more consistent your end results. Check out the 2 vids in kit section prepping the rims and in Bending video #3 as always please feel free to contact me with any question.

We figured the top was harder than the back but I see no reason we can't put that on the list. Next video shoot we can work it in. thanks for the suggestion

Fish glue has a 2 year shelf life and it can be frozen. You can also heat this to make it thinner for crack penetration

Hey John, are you planning to do a video on bracing the back as well?

I'm a little late with my comment but another great video. My question is, what is the shelf life of the fish glue? Is it like most glues where you can refrigerate it for a longer life, of the glue that is, not of the luthier. Thanks!

So after the braces are set the top will have a slight convex surface? I was interested in the H D -28 kit, Would the use of this concave disc be standard for most of your kits? Thanks for taking the time to make these instructions, I've watched almost all of them twice.

Great video! I was wondering do you tuck your braces and bridge plate or just butt them together. And what are your thoughts on either tucking them or not? Love the videos!

I do only when I am doing a true 1937 . There really is no advantage tonally for doing it. I think it was done via tradition. Todays glues are a lot better then what was used 100 yrs ago
