Blues fans, believe it or not, my son and I are diehard Blackhawks fans living in the St. Louis area who are temporarily rooting for you and the Blues. So far, so good! The Bruins look tough, but GO BLUES! Teams win Championships. And this is no insult to the individuals on the Blues team, but I believe this year's Blues are the ultimate example of the saying, "The Whole is greater than the sum of its parts." The blues are the consummate team! The Bruins have swagger and Championship DNA. So, this will be a great series. Maybe the Blues can delve into ancient hockey history and develop a righteous indignation for how Bobby Orr and the Bruins eliminated them from their last Finals appearance 49 years ago. Good luck!

- The Sharks gave it a good run, but as Bob McKenzie over on TSN said last night, the Sharks "lost the war of attrition" in the series. The injuries at the very end were just too much for the Sharks to overcome. Bad enough that they lost Meier & Karlsson for Game 6, but no Pavelski in the lineup either, well that just sunk the Sharks' hopes for good. San Jose battled hard but the Blues just outworked them in the end. Could this be Joe Thornton's final shot at a Stanley Cup? He might come back again for another year....but we'll see.

- From last place overall in January to the Stanley Cup Final in May & June....what an incredible turnaround for the Blues. Just 4 MONTHS it took to do it! :-o Only in the NHL can one team dominate the regular season, win 60+ games, and then go out 4 straight in Round 1, while another team that was at the bottom of the standings halfway through the season somehow gets it turned around & marches all the way to the Cup Final. That's been this year's playoffs in a nutshell. :-) Now as for the Cup Final....my brain says the Bruins will get it done just because they've done it before, they have the core players that have been around and gotten it done, they know what it takes to win the Cup....but how crazy and miraculous would it be if a team that was in the league cellar in January come all the way back & win their 1st Stanley Cup in the SAME season?? Not even Hollywood could write a script like that one if it happens. Anyways....Good Luck to the Boston Bruins & St. Louis Blues in the Stanley Cup Final!! :-)

@Poe Javelski Don't let a few trolls change your opinion of Blues fans. I have been watching highlights all playoffs and really liked your comments throughout. I not only think you are a good fan of the Sharks but you are a very intelligent and great fan of hockey in general. Quite a few of us "normies" usually don't post things online. In general, we know how good and dangerous the Sharks are. It was a great series between two great teams. I know in the future if STL is out of the playoffs, I will be rooting for the Sharks if they are still in it because of fans like yourself. I also see a bunch of people bring up the hand pass thing and saying the Blues should have won that game, but nothing is guaranteed. In the US, you are innocent until proven guilty. If the refs didn't see it, they can't call it. You just move on. This is the fastest and best sport in the world. It isn't easy being a referee. The Blues also lucked out with some missed calls.

Part of the Blues success this year was POISE, MENTAL TOUGHNESS like they're coach. That leads to the low key celebration. GUARANTEE that won't be the case if they win the Cup. Besides that didn't need to go nuts, the fans and city did for them. Last night was one of the GREATEST nights in STL Sports history. And they did it on their home ice. Beautiful stuff baby. Wrong. Games 1-5 in the first round refs favoured Vegas. Round 2 the refs were decent overall, the 1 significant call was on the situation room. Round 3 the refs actually favoured the Blues. The hand pass is literally the only call that went the Sharks way. This is stuff you'd know if you actually watched the series.

This is arguably the greatest comeback in the history of the NHL to be the worst team in the league back in January to be going to the Stanley Cup Finals just 4 months later! We ain't done yet, still got 1 last team to take care of...Boston's had it fairly easy this postseason but the Blues are more than capable of taking them down. LETS GO BLUES!
