Incredible postseason run for the Blues. This run also ended a sports postseason curse for St Louis against the Bay Area and Boston. Giants won 3 NLCS vs the Cardinals since 2002 and Sharks beat the Blues in 2016. Pats won a Super Bowl vs the Rams and Sox won 2 World Series titles vs the Cardinals. Revenge must be sweet huh?

This is an interesting observation indeed! I had observed one myself as a Blues fan: Pat Maroon’s goal on Ben Bishop is the biggest goal in franchise history for the symbolism that St. Louis finally beat their biggest enemy in their franchise’s history, themselves. The franchise always seemed to get in their own way come playoff time by taking stupid penalties or just rotten luck. That game was the epitome of Blues hockey too: dictating if not dominating play but not capitalizing on chances. But that goal changed the narrative. That’s why that goal is the biggest goal in franchise history.
