Just a little gear video I threw together with my Texas Red Blues Junior and my current pedalboard (which probably isn't current anymore :)
The voice is a little low in the mix, sorry about that. But you can hear the guitar amp just fine. Enjoy!

This is the most amazing video on KZbin (for guitarists anyway....) I learned so much from this video, I'm actually putting together a similar pedal board. You have such a versatile setup with great tones, humble attitude, ability to explain how it works and stellar playing chops... REALLY dig it!!! 🙌

Ditto. I already had the amp, was using different pedals. Not anymore! I threw a RAT in there plus a little Mooer Flanger and my delays are slightly different (Maxon AD-9 Pro for analog, DD-7 for digital) but otherwise, this guy's rig is my inspiration for the best tones from my Jnr Mk.3

@SASchertz - I've been through so many multi-effects boxes over the years and my big complaint is that I can't adjust them on the fly. I've contemplated the Axe-Fx many times, but when I need to reach down and slightly turn the tone knob on a pedal I can't. Every gig is different and there's just no way to pre-program everything for every room.

SRV was a tremendous talent and his music is just as meaningful today as when he released it. However, even Stevie combined the use of several amplifiers, modified his Strat and used a variety of pedals. In the end, for the rest of us not as gifted as SRV, music is still in our heart and these are tools to help us express ourselves. My motto is: If the bills get paid , if I work my butt off and give the proper priorities to family, and then music stuff can be very cathartic.

Wow alright ! I also came to listen to the Fender BJNR and have just been convinced it’s the one I what. Loved the way you stack the BD, S-OD and TS. I already have most of those pedals. I was looking for something lower volume to play at home and in church. My boogies are just far too loud. Could not get over how tight the bottom end was, when most say the BJNR is too loose in the bottom end. Great....so great I’m gonna watch it again. Cheers.

among my overdrives are the ts-9 (like any respectable pedal geek) and the sd-1...our setups are actually pretty similar in a lot of ways...I'm in the same boat in that I've recently been way into the sd-1...honestly, it sounds as good or better than many boutique overdrives I've encountered over the years...on top of that, it's a $50 pedal that could survive a nuclear apocalypse...what more could you ask for?

Geez, how long have you been playing? Obviously gifted. I am not. But I work hard. Enough schmooz. Very serious question here (for the author,.please): I'm currently using a "too clean" Two Rock Exo15 through a streamlined but and not nearly dirty/creamy enough effects chain. It goes like this: Guitar "4" to Xotic Effects Sl1 Marshall clone drive to Xotic Effects SP Compressor (always on low) to Xotic Effects SP Boost (on/of +/-15dB, depending) to TC Electronics Mini Reverb (always on, 11 o'clock), and finally through the same MXR analog delay you use for slapback, always on maybe,10 o'clock, all positions), with final pass through the accompanying 12" Exo 15 cab and a nice, low wattage PA...when desired/needed. With this investment! in mind, say, think as though it were your own, and without scrapping and e-Baying the lot, what would you do to yield your affected Blues Jr. tone? (In actuality, I would consider selling my setup and going with something Blues Jr. driven, as I have located just the right amp...for sale now, likely snatched by someone by tomorrow). I have another setup that I actually enjoy hearing more than my "boutiquey" one, and it's a simple guitar "whatever" through Roland Cube 40, Tweed or Classic setting. No pedals, no frills. I find this discrepancy to be hugely frustrating, an intriguing but never-ending challenge, but, most importantly and because I'm not a gifted guitarist, wasted time chasing tone when I should just be working on my playing!! (In fact, I should be playing right this moment and...so, please, do respond...Thx!)

For my own personal rig, that's what I'm starting to do. I use the ME-70 for modulation and delays, but all of my overdrive and distortion is supplied by either an SD-1, DS-1, or my cheap TS-7 tubescreamer. They all sounded awful before, but a certain little monster called Stratocaster came along and changed that... :)
