There you have it folks.... Bobby Sheehan defining how to play bass. Unbelievable bass player. Anyone who knows anything about playing bass will tell you how amazing this performance is. Man, he is sorely missed.

@@Steubenville_PoPo Disrespectful? What are you talking about? John Popper IS an amazing harmonica player, but there are other amazing musicians in the band, like Bobby Sheehan. This particular performance by him is insanely good. RIP Bobby Sheehan

@@Steubenville_PoPo What a silly comment. Why couldn't someone give this fantastic bass player a compliment. It's a band you know, not everything is about John Popper, who ofcourse is one of the best harmonica players ever, doesn't mean his fellow band members aren't cool either.

They weren't the same after releasing 4. They made their deal with the devil for money, and it showed in the cover of that album. Gone was the increasingly ambitious ideas and the thoughtful lyrics. 4 wasn't terrible, but it did not build upon what had gone before as the other three had. Perhaps Bobby was the soul of the band, which is why he could not abide the direction it had taken. Or perhaps I look too deeply into something that once meant so much to me.

They probably exist, but Popper was the first person I ever heard play the harmonica so precise and fast, yet intentional. It doesn't even sound like the harmonica I was used to hearing. Most people hit multiple notes which don't necessarily go together, all sloppily, but it is like popper plays the harmonica like a saxophone.

A local station played side 1 of their first album at midnight way back in the day. They were on my radar after that and when the same station played the same side again I knew I had to buy the album. It's weird, but knowing there are these kind of people out there doing their thing makes the world seem a more inviting place and encourages you to do your thing as well. I picked up on a scene for the first time in my life, and it was a special part of my life.

También hay que comprender que el cantante está espectacular, aunque pienso que el grupo es muy completo. ¡Enhorabuena a "The Blues Traveler".
