Artie Savea is a great player...but the ref seemed to turn a blind eye to his pulling down of that maul. Should of been a penalty try to Blues.

He attached to the player in front of the ball carrier but then due to the rotation of the maul that player got dislodged and Ardie attached to the ball carrier and pulled him down. That is legal according to my knowledge. Hope it helps.

AGREE - LOTS of piss poor ref decisions. Thing is, fans and spectators spot them, can see its wrong and the rugby unions say and do nothing. For example, players have always tried a bit of blocking but it seems that that AND barging tacklers out of the way is regularly seen as OK now - as long as the game is "entertaining". Maybe this is the next step "forward" from allowing obviously squint scrum and line-out feeds, lots of dodgy passes etc. Yeah - sod the rules, as long as the game "flows" eh?
