I am a musician, age 65, and my hearing started at 18 Hz and the tone in my left ear already stopped unfortunately at 4.000 Hz and my right ear at 9.200Hz😫. Keep in mind some audio equipment can't actually produce very low frequencies, usually rolling off around 30-20

Typically we test till 8 or 12Khz. You should worry more about your volume setting than frequencies above 12Khz... What can you hear at your lowest headsett setting, or a bit higher. And get someone else to play back to you at random frequencies...

I am 75 years old, my results are amazing! I ran 7 different tests one of them with the National Hearing Centre Australia, and I could hear chirping even at 18000 Hz. and a whisper at 20000 Hz. I am stunned!
