Post Notes: - The Latency is passable, its not amazing but its usable, once I get around to the internal bluetooth mod, I will be researching into better alternatives that work better with modern tech. of course it has to fit. - If it isn't clear already, these will most likely be used for the internal Bluetooth mod, so in the meantime you can get it, enjoy it use it, eventually if you are able to solder I will have an installation video.

I just bought the BT-16 as it was on sale recently where I live, surprisingly the latency isn't too bad and I could even play Friday Night Funkin on it comfortably while connected wirelessly to my JBL Charge5. Form factor is also good since it barely interferes with my hands, and I have big hands lol. This video was definitely useful, thanks! :)

The most elegant external solution I saw was the Ugreen bluetooth transmitter for Switch. It was made before the switch got the bluetooth update . It loops around the back without a cable. Of course you can use it with any device with a jack.
@TotalKommando3 күн бұрын
I looked it up, looks pretty good, thought it would only work out if the jack is far enough from our grips

Nice little finds, I didn't realize bluetooth adapters got so cheap I have an side question....if I wanted to spraypaint the trigger buttons and the frame of the PSP, what would you use to seal of the paint so it doesn't easily scratch off?
@TotalKommando4 ай бұрын
I have not done much research into this topic, as much as I do plan to get into it yet. But I guess it would be some type of clear coat, like what you do with a car, trigger buttons I would try painting only the bottom, as thats how most of them get the special color.

I’ve done this (built in to a pap 2000) I used that little one you had on the bag mine is called “ac 46 sdk” it was a pain to wire up and you have to crank the psp volume to 100% and still get a bit of hiss, I’ve also used “c28” to add BT to an iPod Looking forward to seeing how you fit it into the psp 👍

Damn, in that case these 5.3 ones will prob work a even better than those DIY modules, I got plenty of volume on my WH-1000XM4 with the portable ones. Thanks for sharing, cant wait to finally get proper BT internally lol

ok hear me out, how about we find a way to install one of these bluetooth adapters replacing the dvd reader at the back, and soldered to the audio jack into the motherboard, it would make it feel like it has built in bluetooth audio

I dont own a psp, but i have a n3ds xl. Which one lf these adapters would you use on that?
@TotalKommando5 күн бұрын
I would use those flat sitting ones, since the 3DS XL requires a wide grip from the back so anything that moves to the back can be annoying

Great video! But do you think i should use double sided tape or velcro with adhesive or some other method to keep it on the back for the alternative method? thanks

Double-Side Tape (The transparent jelly type) would be good if you want it semi permanent, Velcro if you want it removable : )

great video man! i’ve seen some people say that 3000 joysticks work on E1000, can you confirm if they are indeed the same? my intention is to get the monster hunter 3000 convex joystick for my street e1000

Ahh if you are talking about the thumbstick top then yes, its the same, it shares a lot with the 3000 I would recommend you do a vita thumbstick mod instead, buy a spare slim thumbstick top + a black vita Got a whole video about it here if you are interested: kzbin.info/www/bejne/q4DJcmlpZ56Joq8si=KiYgWpXJ8-8nCgVB I found it to be a whole lot better than the monster hunter one which I also have reviewed here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jmG8cpeIZ7abbNEsi=-6TmdY7qEtqwqCcR

You don't need volume buttons, that's not how bluetooth works.... the volume is controlled by the device, in this case the headphones. Your external method you would still have two volume controls, both the PSP and the headphones. What you would avoid is needing to find a method to turn off the internal speakers with an internal mod.
@TotalKommando2 ай бұрын
That's true, however these are kind of super basic dumb Bluetooth transmitters, so they don't communicate like you mention. I double checked here and it's still the same case of having 2 different volume controls. And I have several ideas set aside for turning off internal speakers : )

@TotalKommando3 ай бұрын

@@TotalKommando Thanks! Please make 3.5mm still usable!!I've seen tons of internal bluetooth that replaces the 3.5mm instead of "adding" which they supposed to do. Hope you can make one without an external switch as well, ATTiny85 would be a good start.
@TotalKommando3 ай бұрын
@@jackipiegg of course, my goal is to add function not remove. I don't have the skill currently to play with the ATTiny85, I plan to have small dip switches in a clean easy to get to place, one to turn on/off the bluetooth, and one to enable / disable the internal speakers, incase you want audio coming from both the bluetooth and psp speakers while also keeping things functional. should also help with battery usage
@jackipiegg3 ай бұрын
@@TotalKommando Aw why not, we're all here to learn! attiny85 is just a tiny 8 pin arduino, and YES you program it like any old arduino. You could make it holding "SELECT" button for 5 seconds for pairing, or select+L to on/off bluetooth.
@TotalKommando3 ай бұрын
@@jackipiegg I plan to get there eventually lol, I have a standard Arduino, and will get into it once im a bit more free, need to learn some simple programing first and with the help of gpt it should be easier. I got many other integration ideas that will use an Arduino, most of it will come later, including Bluetooth controller support. But I def love the idea of key mapping. Also with these mods I try to simplify them as much as possible so its more accessible, once im done the series ill start getting serious bout it : )
