Having it insulated and double glazed is a big advantage over most other yachts. I remember sailing in April in Scotland on an Oyster and every morning we had to wipe down all the windows. You couldn't heat the boat or it would just get damp. Delos had some moisture damage to the interior wood after a season in the cold and everything was wet. It works in the tropics also as you need less power for the air conditioning. I wish more boats were properly insulated. Anyway, nice video again. Thanks.

As the old saying goes, "there more than one way to skin a cat". In this case, the metaphor really means, "there is more than one way to build a good sailing vessel. I always appreciate those who can acknowledge great ideas and build qualities in other brands than what they have chosen for their SV. You do that! Congrats to you! But yes, the Amel is still my favorite as well!

Koopmans sr topper in ontwerpen. Zeilde zelf ,en dat zie je terug in zijn boten. Droomboten,waar ik dagelijks van droom tijdens mijn 20km wandel. Heb er al zoveel ingericht van watermaker tot koffiemachine 😂 Helaas is het er nooit van gekomen. Maar blijf dromen😊.

I was wondering how noisy it might be sleeping in the main stateroom. My question was answered when I noticed the noise level really dropped from those squeaky spring lines. So much boat in such a small platform! Although it has it’s plus and minus’s, not sure if I like a hydraulic operated dagger board in place of a fixed keel. Wonder how it really sails?

We had to live with that noise for a few months. The noise is the springs used for tying the boats to the dock. Once the springs start to rust, they start to sing. I wish I able to remove the spring noise, but there was no way.

@@SailingAquarius I live in the countryside and some people are complaining about the "noise" of the birds in the morning waking them up... If you're sailing and after a long day of rough water you're so tired you sleep through it. Try a multiday sail on the North Sea in autumn. You're glad you get the comforting sound of you're fenders rubbing against the "save pontoon" 😉

Great Boat. But with such large windows, I don't want to get into real storms. They break, you go down fast.
