You most likely will need to get a good grip on the nut inside the dispenser. Try using a dry towel to turn. If that does not work, use a clamp to get a good grip and that should do the job.

Can these handle the weight of a 5 gallon glass bottle? I feel like there's about a 15 pound difference between plastic bottles.
