I'm home from work and trying to relax from stressful things . So I have a big bowl of beans and cornbread and a spirit of the outdoors to watch bust some crappie. Looks like cool lake.

Hey Justin! Checking out new territory and what they have to offer is a good thing! I think that sometimes we get too comfortable with the spots we are familiar with. So... mixing it up from time to time keeps us sharp & alert to new possibilities. Just keep in mind the basics, add a large dose of patience & persistence... and you can't go too far wrong! BUT... there are days when they just aren't biting and not a whole lot can be done about it. So... set your sights on the next time! If there are any biscuits left when you get home, I suspect that they will not be in that kitchen for long! Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha! Take Care and I'll see you down the trail!

You might not have caught a lot of fish but you had the fun of exploring a new place. The shallow part of that lake reminds me of Reelfoot Lake.

I think there was more rain in that area than I realized and the water was up.

Tell the wife your just fishing half a day.... You do know that there's 24 hrs in a day so that's 12 hrs of fishing 😅

Ain’t no swimming in murky water in Mississippi… at least up in ol Kentucky I can cannon ball off the boat if I get hot. Remind me not to do that if I ever get down below Tennessee lol
