@dh381
@dh381 2 жыл бұрын
@@josebabasarrate6057 Exactly. Even a 10 wouldn't be able to call that raise since it's only hoping for a chop at best. That 4x raise was pretty thin and if he was going for it, he should've been ready to call the all-in since he's getting sick odds at that point.

Wtf is bill repping, 10s full or quad fives ? I guess when he 3 bets the river he’s repping 5s?
@dh381
@dh381 2 жыл бұрын
@@OshawaStateOfMind pretty much but Bill’s line doesn’t make too much sense either. With so many draws out there, set of 10s would’ve raised on the flop and trip 5s would’ve raised on the turn. But I guess you can make an argument for flatting with trip 5s on the turn in order to set the trap

The bluff worked but it shouldn't have against a KK holding. Villain should never have AA (since that should reraise preflop). TT is also likey to reraise preflop. 5x would raise on the turn most of the time. Overall villains play does not make sense, plus there are extremely few card combinations that beat you. The correct play is to sigh and moan and toss the chips in. Of course there's the option of not raising so that you don't have to call a reraise. For those saying they've been in that spot and their aces is "always up against quads", I don't believe it. People at all blind levels both bluff in that spot AND overplay weaker pairs. It's more memorable when you lose but calling a reraise in that particular spot is a long term winner unless you're up against a player who would NEVER bluff there nor overvalue their pocket pair. Note that as the number of opponents seeing the flop goes up, the chances of running into quads increases (indeed one of players held J5 in that deal). Also if my opponent had check raised me on the turn as he's supposed to I would be more inclined to believe his reraise on the river. Lastly people tend to overbluff in higher stakes and under bluff in lower stakes. Brian should definitely have called there.

Great play no doubt but when you are a billionaire, there is no fear in pulling such bluffs. That's why Tom Dwan will still be the scariest poker player... He pulled some incredible bluffs without having billionaire status...

KO. Dunno why, brings back a childhood memory playing Marvel vs. Street Fighter at an arcade bringing an older opponent’s health down significantly while not getting hit once. Then he pulls Akuma’s hardest supermove to just obliterate me for a KO. This too shall remain with Brian for the rest of his life. Don’t ever let your guard down on anyone. 😂
