Thanks for watching this episode with the unbelievable Uli Jon Roth. I want to express a special thanks to Uli for joining us here on AcademyOfTone sharing super interesting insights on his artistry, playing concepts, his Sky guitar and not to forget his cat😊! Enjoy, Thomas

I've been lucky enough to play before and hang out with the Maestro Uli Jon Roth. One of the nicest, most gracious humans I've ever met. And a amazing musician as well!

This is one of the best musical interviews from a long long time. Uli gets into the details of working with the orchestra - a regular rock journalist would never ask and have the time for Uli to give answers. I love the part that he says the the orchestra reacts instantly to soft or loud even though they are trained to play their part, they are not automatons and are so good to work with a conductor.

I have been listening to Uli since 1988 (I heard him in the Scorpions before that, but I was a child of the NWOBHM and it took a few years for my ears to catch up) and I've never been able to catch him live through work commitments, or a lack of money. This November he's in the UK so perhaps I can make it to a gig then.....(but I guess I'll never have a 36 fret instrument without a bit of a miracle!) Thank you for this episode!

I'm glad I staye to the end. Very beautiful playing! I haven't heard anyone play the sky guitar besides Uli and it's interesting to hear how different it sounds in another's hands.

That was an interesting interview..still love the versatility and the sound of the Strat. Was fortunate to meet Uli at the Sky Academy in LA in 2013 & even had a jam. It was unreal, he is a great teacher. A Sky guitar is an impressive instrument, still on a wishlist. Ah the Mickey Mouse sounds..😆Familiar with that especially live, nothing is ever loud enough, but due to sensitive ears i turn the amp down instead of cranking it up. Lonesome Crow is an amazing album, groovy, jazzy & progressive

Hello Blugies 🎉. Tom, try a Strymon Deco in the FX loop (parallel) of an AMP1 to get better tones at lower volumes and a little echo.
@BluGuitar Жыл бұрын
I didn’t try the strymon, but I know how the Replex thickens the tone adding a bit of compression. That is great at lower volumes. Anyway will try the Deco too… Cheers, Thomas

Weltklasse!
@BluGuitar Жыл бұрын
@alexanderruppert1705 Жыл бұрын
