When I was on the helpdesk at the start of my IT career, the level of dumb that I learned existed in the world shocked me, so I'm not surprised.
@dynastes49383 жыл бұрын
I know only too well what you mean, but in those support scenarios even very smart people appear pretty dumb sometimes. There is a difference, however, between simple unfamiliarity with a field and outright stupidity. People, who purchase a gaming headset and should therefore use their PC rather regularly for playing games, should know better than the popular average, though ;D

With a Series X on the way in November (provided the limited edition doesn't get another delay in Aus), I've been researching headphones for weeks on end and going round in circles. After watching your excellent review I bit the bullet and ordered the H6PRO open back in the green. Thanks heaps

I just took the h 6 pro in green and gold. The closed version. I'm really happy, I have my astro at 50 which is right next to it and honestly, the sound quality between the 2 has nothing to do with it. I much prefer the h 6 pro. I use it suddenly on my Xbox series x and for the PC, I will add a little creative soundBlaster X 3 for pc. I'm on a laptop and it doesn't have much power.

Very interesting to hear you compare the H6 with the HD560S since I'm currently choosing between the two! I intend to use the headphones/headset almost excluseviley for gaming and the price difference is close to negligable here in Sweden. What would you prefer? The 560 or the H6?

Good design panders to the lowest common denominator without doing so at the expense of the people who can use their brains. Headset volume controls are usually a set-and-forget type of deal for me, so I don't think I'll be too inconvenienced by the 5 % lowest volume.

Hey, can you answer a question I was wondering about? What is the difference in Ear pad material (both inner and outer) between the open and closed versions? They seem to be slightly different and I'm trying to decide which one I want to pick up based on that. Comfort is a huge deal to me - I wasn't a real big fan of the interior of the ear cups on the GSP 600 line but the GSP 500 as well as 370 were far softer. Thanks!

Hi Blunty, Great video, so thank you. I'm a bit sour with EPOS at the moment. When the H3'S were announce I was super excited, and purchased the white H3's as soon as I could get my hands on them, and love them. Then now recently out of nowhere they just announced the H6's, which look like they trump the H3 in every way possible. I feel they should have waited to announce the whole new "H" series at once, I mean I just spent $120.00 on the H3's, and had I known these were in development I would have waited to spend a little more for the H6's. I'm kind of mad that they didn't give consumers adequate notice to make a decision on these. They could have at the very least mentioned these were coming when they released the H3's. Not a good move IMO.

This happens all the time dude, as annoying as it is... I got the black shark V2, not long after they announced the wireless version.. which fixed the main issues with the wired one.

That's just the nature of buying tech. At least your headphones don't get worse just because someone released a newer version. It's not like buying a computer only to find that it can't keep up with software demands a few years later.
@Ajrs242 жыл бұрын
@@SleepyFen It's so true. Especially in technologies. I remember when nvidia announced their GTX 1080 ti, when I had just bought my 1080 for same price like 1 month ago 😂 I was really disgusted that day. But that's how it is, you have to deal with it. And as you said very well, that does not prevent that the material that you currently have is still as good. 😊

@@StickyGeko go for open or semi open backs bro. testing alot of headsets and headphones right now and dt 990 edition and even gaming headsets like pc37x or gsp 500 sound way better than any closed back. i didnt find the perfect one yet but im interesting in testing the h6 pro open back or the hd 598 next. on paper the hd 598 still looks like the perfect headphone for gaming and music but the h6 green/gold looks too good and it seems like that they improved the comfort alot over the old gsp line

@@StickyGeko ok then the epos h6pro closed back is prob a really good choice if not the best. the gsp 600 sound is really good but they r insanely uncomfy cause of the high weight and clamping force. the chances r high that the sound is really close if not the same (looks like the same driver and pad design) on the epos h6 with improved comfort and weight

First time watching your vids. Excellent video, really enjoyed it! Currently looking for a new set of headphones after my steelseries arctis pro's cracked where the ear piece and head strap connect due to a terrible design. They were fabulous headphones so trying to find a replacement has been tiresome. This review has helped me out quite a lot. Definitely considering the h6pro. Cheers

I have a really bad habit of wearing headphones with one cup behind my ear so I can still hear the world around me. Probably the reason I have gone through 3 headsets in under 2 years. Corsair HS50 - Cups literally cracked their way off of the band, GSP 300 - Sound stopped working in 1 ear, Logitech G Pro (current set) - Sound in one ear goes a bit funny depending on the volume wheels position. It really bugs me that I just can't make a pair last, when my first pair of headphones lasted me 5 years.

Question, I currently have the open back Game Ones, and since you have personally used them yourself how does the H6 Pros compare to the Game Ones, would you say the upgrade is worth it? I plan on adding a Schiit Hel 2 for my DAC. Thanks
@BluntyTV3 жыл бұрын
There's a noticeable difference side by side if you like, IMMEDIATELY swap between them on the same listening source, nothing dramatic, just subtle differences. A but crisper on bass, a bit bitier in the high mids, but unless your Game one's are starting to wear and tear, Or you want the lighter fit, the difference is unlikely to be "worth it".
@sincity_steve3 жыл бұрын
@@BluntyTV thanks for that info. Would you say a good solid DAC/AMP would give me a better upgrade over the headphones themselves? I currently have an Astro Mixamp Tr (old version) that is starting to randomly disconnect on me sometimes during gaming, so I'm thinking of getting the Schiit Hel 2 to replace it. What AMP / DAC do you use?

I just ordered both the closed back and the drop+ version in the open back in black to compare the sound profiles since I've never tried an open back design. But now that I've seen your video I'm kind of wishing I had gone for the green. The green in the product pictures looks brighter, more "gamery" so to speak. So I wasn't sure about them. i couldnt handle the 560s for more than 20 mins for gaming cause of their really harsh upper mids and highs and people call beyerpeaks bad, the 560s literally rip your ear drums apart. right now im testing gsp 500s which r way more bearable for gaming than the 560s and im also testing the dt 990 edition which have a little bit too much bass imo but r def better than both sennheisers in overall sound quality. would be interesting to know if the new epos h6 pros open back sound like the gsp 500 or even better. im torn between these and the hd 598 for the next testing phase :)

@@nekogod yeah im most likely going for the hd 598, they look too good on paper and only have really good reviews. i also think they decreased the frequency on the epos h6 to get more volume out of them which is a bummer. so they most likely sound even worse than the gsp 500s
