About Blur:
Blur were formed in 1989 by Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Alex James and Dave Rowntree and signed with Food/EMI the same year. Announcing their arrival with debut album Leisure in 1991, Blur continued to revolutionise the sound of English popular music with second release Modern Life Is Rubbish (1993). Five successive UK #1 albums followed - with Parklife (1994) and The Great Escape (1995) helping to propel the band to mass popularity in the UK and beyond. The eponymous Blur was released in 1997 and seventh album Think Tank (2003) was Blur’s first as a three-piece after the temporary departure of founding guitarist Graham Coxon. Twenty one years after the release of their debut album, 2012 saw Blur 21: The Box, the band's body of work compiled and gathered together into one box. Their most recent release as a four-piece, the critically acclaimed chart-topping album The Magic Whip (2015), started life in Hong Kong when the band had an unexpected break in touring in May 2013

Blur is the very first band that I fell in love with when I was in senior high…though my taste already broaden to many different types of rock music, Blur will always be my first love. P.S. Just bought Modern Life Is Rubbish last week and this came out now…🙌🏼

Modern Life is definitely their best. The first 6 albums are all class, Think Tank took a while to grow on me. I don't rate their last one at all.

What I remember about this album from Blur is getting it far in advance to release in America. I remember hearing "Song 2" and thinking they had a huge hit and that this album would break Blur more in America. I would drive around listening to this album that wasnt released yet..Good Times.

Some of my young adult music references from before and after I got married, plus my absolute favourite scoring references from sport. I feel like I did not really notice DA's musical influence on my life because I was too focused on 70's and 80's bands. It has taken this video's influence to broaden my memory and horizons. Thank you for putting this out and making me realise that there is more out there than I acknowledged.
