Seems pretty clear that this song inspired Song 2...Friends of P came out in 1995, this performance in 1996, and Song 2 released in 1997...both with the theme of “woohoo” alternating with each lyric and heavy chugging fuzz guitar and bass...making Matt Sharp the hidden key to Weezer’s two best albums and Blur’s biggest hit.
