Seeing it in color really changes the tone of the music video. The original feels so somber and lost, like clinging to life when one is suicidal, but in color it’s like seeing the world as it really is. A beautiful place where happiness can be found around us

Blur writes great albums that have singles instead of great singles on albums. Their interests and direction has changed from time to time, but they are the most consistent band I’ve ever heard. I first started listening just before the s/t was released, so mid 90’s? I didn’t go back to previous records before The Great Escape until around the lull between 13 and Think Tank. I was shocked that even the early albums (like modern life and leisure) were so coherent beginning to end. I struggle to think of another band with so many albums with ZERO tracks that I skip. Pure talent and smarts. Artists should study Blur’s consistency and thoughtfulness in album pacing, track order, and what doesn’t belong on a record. I have gushed enough. Thanks, Blur.

I was 13 when it came out and would help my dad as a market trader every friday at Bermondsey Market, and this really captures London perfectly. Looks like they found real random people on the day as well. This was before the pigeons were poisoned out of Trafalgar sq, Bermondsey Market has been strangled to death in the name of Premier Inn and before the locals were gentrified out of Camden. At least Primrose Hill hasn't changed. It's windy there and the views so nice.

I love how something as simple as colour can make your video feel entirely different. To me, the original video in black and white makes you agree with the lyrics, showing that modern life is all cold and dreary. But this version feels like its in juxtaposition of the lyrics, saying why wait for tomorrow when today is so beautiful and lively and full of colour, live for today. Anyway just a lame rant about colour grading, they couldn't have picked a more beautiful video to restore, and what a fantastic restoration at that!
