Interesting fact: In early 1995 Justine's dad brought her a 4-storey terraced house in Notting Hill, and she and Damon moved in. They lived there until they split up - I think that was 1998 - so for 4 years they were a couple residing in the property. I know the exact house, I think she still owns it but she now lives in America and has done for some years. Blur fans will know what this song is about, Damon has definitely admitted to taking certain substances, and Justine more or less admitted having done so too. It's interesting to walk past that house, to look at the lounge and think "It happened here..."

I love that most songs on this album include hidden tracks or demos at the end. Caramel does it the best in my opinion since there are 3 different songs here and they're all totally different. It's like taking a real bad drug trip, nothing lasts long and your imagination takes you somewhere else. it's dreamlike but turned nightmare, especially considering so much of 13 is based off the cataclysmic breakup with Damon and Justine. She's the one who introduced heroin to him in the first place and it couldn't be more thematically appropriate than here.

Definitely a sure-fire way to trip you out. I like it.
