I have Jio Airfiber STB (new connection) which comes with only one HDMI port and no Optical or other ports for audio out purpose. Now, I have connected STB HDMI to TV HDMI port and then TV and 5.1 Sony Home theater was connected using an Optical cable. I am getting only 3.1 channels working i.e. SW, Center, SUR right and SUR left. No sound comes to front left and right speakers. Do you have any suggestions please?

First you need to check whether your stb box supports 5.1 .if so then you need to check audio settings in your tv . If your tv supports 5.1 then only you will get surround audio Surround depends on >source > audio system

No, the STB has only one HDMI port which is connected to TV. Others say that JIO STB do not support 5.1 TV and Sony Blue ray DVD (5.1 Home theater system) both support 5.1 system.
