!!Dont buy these!! i had two of these, both broke within two months of use. the same way. this is a know issue, search sony ult wear break, and you will see the same issue. this is avkward because i liked scullcandy before this, and they had the same issue, and i also had that happen to two of them. had a sony WH-XB900N beetween that though, those worked great, made me trust in sony, wich is lost now. might exchange the new sony ult wear into a xm5, might something not sony. we'ill see...

I listened to xm5 and ult wear in the shop, i bought these even though the price was close. The bass in these is punchy AND boomy, you can feel it. ANC is just as good as xm5. On the other hand, xm5s were a tiny bit cleared when it came to highs, but im more about deep bass than hires audiophile stuff, xm5 bass was a let down.. Also, my ears stay inside xm5s but ultwear my ears touch them. I love these ult wears.

Ult wear has better bass, the ch720n has the head shaking bass while the Ult wear has a more puncy bass. The xm5 is a neutral sounding headphones with emphisis on the vocals and instrument seperation. so i think the ch720n's sounds closer to the xm5.

ПС: заказал себе Ult, жду ответа с магазина - если данная поломка относится к гарантийному случаю, буду покупать. Уж очень мне нравится функция настроек басов без необходимости постоянного входа в браузер через смартфон. Прозрачный режим и автоматическая пауза при снятия с головы - это вообще огонь!

ULT-WEAR is the successor of WH-XB910N, and WH-XB910N is the successor of WH-XB900N, so which means that ULT-WEAR is 2 generations after WH-XB900N. I think that it's definitely SOOOOO MUCH BETTER? My WH-XB910N is broken into pieces last month, and I'm excited to get a new generations/upgrade, which is the ULT-WEAR btw!!! I believe that the noise canceling is definitely gonna be better!!!

Finally got the Sony ULT Headphones. I find them decent for the price. I've not messed with the EQ yet. I find them okay without adjusting the EQ. Very bassy. Clarity is distorted at high volumes I feel but good for the price. These headphones are meant for mainly bass anyway. But the lows could be better. The highs I like. Overall. A good purchase

Love them! My Beats Studio3's broke after like 5 to 6 years maybe. Definitely an upgrade, I hadn't realized how flimsy Beats were, these feel pretty sturdy. My only problem is they're not flat and I'm an avid side sleeper that likes music but oh well lol. Edit: I do regret not getting the black

I purchased the ULT’s and XM4’s at the same time with only $50 difference. Got home tried both and eq both. Immediately returned the ULT’s. My xb900n’s blow them away. The XM4’s are nearly identical but sound so much cleaner and clear with better accuracy. New album for linkin park female singer sounded muddy and dull on the ULT’s. XM4 was night and day, her voice was clear and not muddy or dull. No EQ could help the ULT’s.

after chewing through yet another pair of earcups on my old wh-ch700n headphones, i decided to get these and they are in the way. hopefully they are at least as sturdy in terms of overall build as these (with better earcups) and hopefully i can fine tune them more to my liking with tools like Equalizer APO on pc or PowerAMP equalizer on my phone. sure the sony app has ok EQ buld in too, but i have liked more that more precise tuner on that PowerAMP one.

This is a tough question. I still think the XM4s are so good but I would probably recommend the ULTs for someone who wants a "punchier" or bigger bass experience at the tough of a button without having to worry about setting any EQ changes.

They do feel “cheap” or at least to me because they were so light and feel like the material is a bit fragile (nothings happened so far) but after having the Beats Studio Pro and Apple air pod max, the are like a feather (weight wise)

Um, USBC audio is fantastic, your phone can charge your headphones while you use them and have ANC without a stupid adapter (phone) at far superior sound quality, on your phone. But you probably use Apple so you can't. Oh wait this is an ad for Sony Tell them to add this it's super easy and nice, does it actually have a separate audio cable connector? On a $50 pair of headphones anything over $100 has no excuse except being lazy and stupid thinking people want 20db bass boost when it needs a treble boost button😂.
