Hey ULT owner here. I will say that the ULT’s deliver a lot of bass naturally so when you’re eq’ing, leaving the lows at neutral will give them a punchy sound and moving the lows forward will give them a boomier sound which I think is on the muddier side. I usually keep the lows at neutral and push up the mids and highs a bit while maxing clear bass and trust me you will feel some rattling. Def nothing like my crusher evo when It comes to bass tho

This is so true because this will vary on different people's tastes. The Sony ULT WEAR (WH-ULT900N) headphones have real bass. The Skullcandy Crusher headphones have fake bass.

This is the video I needed - Had the wh-ch700 for over 4 years - absolutely love it, but the charging port stopped working - Im looking at the wh-ch720, extremely lightweight, yet captures a solid sound stage. Miles above the weak Bose q45s... The xm4s Im working with now but find them a bit underwhelming so far. The Ults were cool, but the heat in the earcups was a killer for me after 2 hrs of wearing.

I just bought the Sony ULT Wear after seeing your comparison. The part of the video where you say "The ambient mode on the ULT wear is super close to sounding like your not wearing anything at all", I totally disagree man ULT wear ambient mode is like actually you aren't wearing any headphones. its that much perfection. and the noise cancellation is perfect for me(I use AirPods Pro 2 too) And the sound quality with ULT bass. This is THE HEADPHONE OF THE YEAR FOR ME. ULT Wear is an XM5 with fixing every imperfection of XM5(such as inability to fold, lack of bass, not the best transparency mode) ULT Wear surpass everything so far. Thank you for your video.

I've been trying to replace my XM3 for years. But I can't seem to find a new pair that I like. I've bought and returned XB910, 720N, XM4, XM5 and ULT. I still prefer the sound of my XM3 over all of those. I was considering keeping the 720N's though, because the where really comfortable and they sounded very good for their price. But with no case it was a no-go for me.

The beats do have one more advantage though I take them to the gym and don't fall off like the xm1000 did

Try both of them in a store, but i think the xm4 have way better anc and can be tuned more. They also have more features, but it depends if you care for this stuff. If you think the 720n are good enough, save some money or get the ult wear since it's a mix of both kinda.

No issues at all with the joints, no need to even be conservative. And even then, it comes with a travel case. Remember almost all reviews are those of people who've had bad experiences, more people enjoyed them and dont review them.
