I'm so glad you embrace the sound change. Wish more fans were open minded like you man cause this was a stellar track.
@Tyler-hr8hj3 жыл бұрын
Sound change is what we should be wanting, I’ve never understood why people want bands to make the same album over and over, why not want them to expand their creative outlet to cover more than a single sound. I love the changes, it keeps me interested in the next chapter of the bands I like.
@michaelwagner67333 жыл бұрын
@@Tyler-hr8hj I think the problem with a lot of those people is, they are probably not fans of the specific bands they are hating on, but only hardcore genre fans. Meaning they are metalcore fans, love (for example) Architects for their top tier metalcore albums and now with upcoming change of sound (which is done in a perfect way and style because this is clearly still Architects sound, just evolved) they can´t handle it. It´s not classic metalcore, it has more emotions than just pure rage, more elements than just screaming, and they don´t like it because they were no Architects fans in the first place, but metalcore fans... I hope my point is understandable, I´m not a native english speaker :D
@Tyler-hr8hj3 жыл бұрын
@@michaelwagner6733 Your English is just fine friend, I completely understand what you're saying. I think that you are right, I guess people can love a genre more than they can love the artist that have made that genre what it is. Kinda weird right? I guess it'd be like saying I really love this car, but I hate the people who made it because they made other cars that aren't like this one. Strange way to think but I guess that's just human nature to have such differing thoughts lol
@TheFiXNormal3 жыл бұрын
@@Tyler-hr8hj I can sympathise with people disliking when bands change too much. It's like going to a BBQ restaurant, you love the menu, but suddenly they start going vegan. In my opinion there's a difference between the sound evolving and completely changing. I'm not really a big fan of Architects so I'm not really phased by this, but there's definitely been bands I stopped listening to because of the new music not being enjoyable to me. And there has been quite a few lately. At the end of the day, it's a matter of preference. I think people are entitled to their opinions and being able to dislike the new sound just like the bands are entitled to change their sound however they want.
@Tyler-hr8hj3 жыл бұрын
@@TheFiXNormal Oh I'm in no way arguing that you and anyone and everyone else are entitled to your preferences and opinions, and I think it's great that everyone has one, life would be boring otherwise wouldn't you agree? My point was, people will stop listening to a band simply because that band has had growth and new influences that have shaped their music. Even if they like it, that's the thing, people literally will talk all kinds of shit about how a band has " sold out " or changed to much and stop listening to them, but in the same breath be listening to them and enjoying that new sound that they are so quick to judge. Even if you don't like the new sound, should you hate on the band that you once liked and enjoyed for not being the same on every album? I feel like it's the bands duty in a sense to evolve, change, explore new things, they didn't become musicians to make the fans happy, they became musicians because they loved writing and playing music that they were happy about, and gained fans while doing it. Now they've continued to do that, but the sound is no longer the same, but they're still doing that same thing they were doing when they started but of course some people won't feel whatever they put out and that's totally fine but to be offended and talk trash about them for just doing what makes them happy? Seems kinda low and selfish no? Thanks for a response, I appreciate your view and thoughts on this :)

I'm not totally hooked either, but I'm sure you just need to listen to it a couple times to really understand.
