I'm so glad you embrace the sound change. Wish more fans were open minded like you man cause this was a stellar track.

Sound change is what we should be wanting, I’ve never understood why people want bands to make the same album over and over, why not want them to expand their creative outlet to cover more than a single sound. I love the changes, it keeps me interested in the next chapter of the bands I like.
@michaelwagner6733

@@Tyler-hr8hj I think the problem with a lot of those people is, they are probably not fans of the specific bands they are hating on, but only hardcore genre fans. Meaning they are metalcore fans, love (for example) Architects for their top tier metalcore albums and now with upcoming change of sound (which is done in a perfect way and style because this is clearly still Architects sound, just evolved) they can´t handle it. It´s not classic metalcore, it has more emotions than just pure rage, more elements than just screaming, and they don´t like it because they were no Architects fans in the first place, but metalcore fans... I hope my point is understandable, I´m not a native english speaker :D

@@michaelwagner6733 Your English is just fine friend, I completely understand what you're saying. I think that you are right, I guess people can love a genre more than they can love the artist that have made that genre what it is. Kinda weird right? I guess it'd be like saying I really love this car, but I hate the people who made it because they made other cars that aren't like this one. Strange way to think but I guess that's just human nature to have such differing thoughts lol

@@Tyler-hr8hj I can sympathise with people disliking when bands change too much. It's like going to a BBQ restaurant, you love the menu, but suddenly they start going vegan. In my opinion there's a difference between the sound evolving and completely changing. I'm not really a big fan of Architects so I'm not really phased by this, but there's definitely been bands I stopped listening to because of the new music not being enjoyable to me. And there has been quite a few lately. At the end of the day, it's a matter of preference. I think people are entitled to their opinions and being able to dislike the new sound just like the bands are entitled to change their sound however they want.
@Tyler-hr8hj
@Tyler-hr8hj 3 жыл бұрын
@@TheFiXNormal Oh I'm in no way arguing that you and anyone and everyone else are entitled to your preferences and opinions, and I think it's great that everyone has one, life would be boring otherwise wouldn't you agree? My point was, people will stop listening to a band simply because that band has had growth and new influences that have shaped their music. Even if they like it, that's the thing, people literally will talk all kinds of shit about how a band has " sold out " or changed to much and stop listening to them, but in the same breath be listening to them and enjoying that new sound that they are so quick to judge. Even if you don't like the new sound, should you hate on the band that you once liked and enjoyed for not being the same on every album? I feel like it's the bands duty in a sense to evolve, change, explore new things, they didn't become musicians to make the fans happy, they became musicians because they loved writing and playing music that they were happy about, and gained fans while doing it. Now they've continued to do that, but the sound is no longer the same, but they're still doing that same thing they were doing when they started but of course some people won't feel whatever they put out and that's totally fine but to be offended and talk trash about them for just doing what makes them happy? Seems kinda low and selfish no? Thanks for a response, I appreciate your view and thoughts on this :)

Definitely nothing wrong with a change of sound...but come on. This is generic pop rock to the letter. The orchestral addition was nice but everything else about the song was so uninteresting. Personally I've heard this song during the Royal Albert Hall Live and this song totaly blew my mind like this is clearly one of their softest song but also one of their most emotional and beautiful one. Architects is my favourite band since 3 years now and I really love the way that they are going. Their sound is changing but not becoming mainstream, it is still architects and they bring so much originality and unique stuff so far with these 3 singles that I'm honestly a bigger fan than before. @sarcasm4371 3 жыл бұрын
@@RyeRyeL I just don't like the amount of repeating Sam does on certain lyrics, it sounds very generic and something you would hear on the radio which lacks what I loved about Architects older music. I'm not a big fan of his new approach on cleans or the mixing of them, on the older songs the vocals were louder and it gave them the affect of sounding more full and passionate. I know it's not just me that hears this but I wish there was more to these newer songs. Even the slight technicality on their guitar work has somewhat disappeared on their newer songs, but that was kind of inevitable with the loss of Tom I suppose.
@NX2Official
@NX2Official 3 жыл бұрын
@@sarcasm4371 I do understand what you mean by repeating of lyrics, it can sound pop-like and lazy but as someone who writes songs (not saying that makes me an expert) it can compliment the song more than trying to fit more lyrics than are needed. If there is nothing else you need to say then don’t force it and I think it’s done quite tastefully in this song.

I definitely recommend checking out the Live at Royal Albert Hall version. That live version is so much more emotional and beautiful, i have a very special place in my heart for it. It is DEFINITELY worth listening to.

Amazing song!!! I don’t understand people bashing on these guys for the change of style in some songs. Those exact songs have so much power and emotion.

You know what? Every single member of this band has such a great experience and expertise for themselves. Put all the pieces together and the evolution of this band is just epic. Any comparison to other bands are useless. It's not about challenging bands against each other. There's passion, experience in it. You said it: Architects are Uge. I'm telling you: architects are architects. Not more, not less.

This brought it back for me, black lungs felt kinda uninspired and bland for me. The brass in this one is just so fucking amazing, and it feels so leprousy, if they wanna do a kinda heavy leprous thing, Im so on board

it baffles me when people don't like when a band changes its sound and feel, as if the writers emotions and inspirations don't change over the years.. as you said, the old music is still there

Couldn't agree more about the "don't compare them to BMTH" part man. Architects are amazing in their own way. BMTH are amazing in their own way. This song is a banger.

I'm sick of people complaining because they're changing their sound. The people who complain would be the first to say it's getting boring if they hardly changed. All 3 singles have been amazing, I'm so hyped for this album!

I like architects, holy hell and god ... they were great. but my criticism is not going to whether they are heavier or not. I don't mind that they are not heavy. what I want is for them to be original. animals in radio rock bmth style. the second song was one of the most generic metalcore songs I've ever heard and this last single was better, but I'm not convinced. I don't see a step forward, I don't see a proposal. the arrangements are good but the structure is basic, the voices with autotune sound bad. and the structure of the song feels empty. the song leaves me empty. that's my opinion. I don't want a wage war 2.0

@@RUBIKP-lt7qi I don’t personally see it quite this harshly, I think their new stuff is good music. But I hate that it’s Architects. It’s not who I think of when I think of them. I’m glad people like it and hope they make tons of money from it, but it’s not for me.

Absolutely loved it, and I agree completely with what you said. If you want their heavier songs, go listen to them, they get better with age. Love their new direction and I hope the rest of the album is as diverse as the singles have been
