Yeah, for me Aquila is definitely the SOTY followed very closely by The Black from Imminence and (and I might get a lot of grief for this) Anything > Human by Bad Omens and ERRA.

@@TheFiXNormal Yeah I don't think Anything > Human is great, I honestly think it's plain boring. Like I don't get what there's to love about it, lol. But it's quite popular for whatever reason. I got an actual hot take: Past Life Persona is the best track ERRA has put out this year. The dreamy and hopeful, kind of moving-on atmosphere of that song is beautiful and second to none. It conveys a sort of piece I long to achieve in my life. There, you can roast me (or the song) now, but at least I explained myself quite well haha. Idk if your username has anything to do with their label, but The Browning is defo in my top 5 SOTY with OMNI.

Over The Garden Wall is definitely my favorite song this year. Been following them since the beginning and they've only gotten better and better over the years. TCOTTC has definitely stayed consistently as a top album amongst all the other fantastic album releases this year, I'm stuck between this, FREAKS by AVRALIZE and From The New World by Allt as my AOTY. Another fantastic year for metal!
