Before Heavener, I haven't heard of Invent Animate. I had always been a massive Northlane, Silent Planet, ERRA and the likes fan since the beginning. Alien from Northlane I had considered my favorite album for the longest time. It was perfect. I didn't know what perfect was until my brother made me listen to Immolation of Night. Heavener is the most perfect album, to ever exist for me. Peak Metalcore.

As a diehard Killswitch fan circa 2004, along with Unearth I would say those early albums are my favorite. However, Invent Animate Heavener is one of the best records I have ever heard. It has been #1 on spotify for me since it was released.

Try to look for the producers, this one is Buster Odeholm (also Humanity Last Breath & Vildhjarta & Thrown) while Thrown is not thall. With looking for the prod/song writer it's a bit easier to get the same vibes/song structure.

I'd say that my current favorite Metalcore bands are definitely Invent Animate and Loathe(i can't wait for new album), they're absolutely peak but i also like Allt a lot. I've been also a huge fan of Oceans Ate Alaska back in 2017 and they had all the potential to become one of my favorite modern metalcore bands but they had some issues personally for me, although i still like their music, it just always felt like all of their albums had some visible pros and cons. Johnny Booth is pretty much peak too, their last album is very underrated and i like it a lot. Into The Vein is going to be peak for a lot of people too, especially for Currents/Allt fans, they basically sound like combination of both with some Invent Animate stuff to it.

Unpopular opinion but I absolutely love ALLT, and this is for me the only disappointing single they’ve dropped. Don’t get me wrong. It isn’t “bad”, but the first half is too generic nu-metally, and the best bits - the breakdowns - are way too short! Still, I love ALLT.
