The Orphan Breed was my first experience with Allt, and I was Awe because I never thought that a song could be so intense yet so intricate at the same time. It's like a puzzle where you have to fit all the pieces but the pieces have multiple complex connecting parts, yet they somehow made it so "easy" to listen to, but with every listen you got a little more out of it. I feel like that same sensation repeats in their later songs here as well. Also I adore Emanate, and you can already see the band's skills on display there, but the later single releases and the album song releases really show that Allt really found yet another gear to go into and the album truly is a masterpiece of modern metal in every essence of the word masterpiece.

A Flash of Light is probably the coolest intro track I have ever heard, and every member brings their all to every song on the album. The riff in Ephemeral is going to be living rent free in my head for the next few months for sure.

Incredible album. My only complaint is that it's so short at 10 tracks, so we've heard half the album. And of the five tracks, one is an intro track. Then Orphan Breed and Emanate are both from 2023. But it's still absolutely incredible. I just want MORE

Been listening to them since Paralyzed and this is everything about that song, but perfected. They absolutely NAILED this and I completely agree this is PEAK metal to me lmao. I feel the same way with Sleep Token, both bands are going to have a tough time topping these albums but I also can't wait to see what they come up with. 10/10 for me, probably also in my Top 5 metalcore bands of the past 10 years.

It’s unbelievable that this is a DEBUT album. I love it, it’s an almost spiritual experience like Tool is, I had a little moment with THAT riff in Ephemeral, there were some tears, but holy, it’s an assbeater. I was expecting more songs like Echoes tbh, more prog feel to it, but I love how visceral and deep this album cuts emotionally with it’s sound, like it’s emotionally deep because it’s heavy, if that makes sense. Ephemeral has taken Aquilla’s place as SOTY in my book, and this album is heads clear of 2nd, undisputed AOTY.

I still have some catching up to do on albums from this year, plus there's a handful of releases still to come that I'm excited about, so I can't definitively call this my AOTY, but it's a strong contender. I will say, as a stand alone single, I wasn't really feeling Echoes all that much, but within the context of the album, it's actually become one of my favourites of theirs. Aquila and Ephemeral are my stand outs though...just two unbelievable tracks with outstanding chorus hooks. Super impressive for a debut. It's floating somewhere between a 9-10/10 but it'll take a couple more listens for me to narrow it down to an exact rating.

And I've definitely heard a lot better music this year from bantor just as little known as these guys are.
