I heard that same podcast thal guy was talking about with them putting the antlers on the smaller buck it is 100% true the doe gravitated to the young buck with the big antlers !

I feel hunting in southwest VA the rut doesn't happen till the last two weeks of November. There is some activity in early November but in my opinion the best action is late. Great video guys! Keep em coming

In my opinion the doe is going to prefer a mature dominant buck to court her because the chance of that buck getting displaced by another buck in that short window of time before ovulation is much lower. I think this is why some does disappear mid rut, they seek out the big buck in the nasty cover.
