Amazing man. I love the fact that you keep the set up simple but yet deliver an amazing obviously professional work. very inspiring. Sometimes I get annoyed by people with giant setup just to look 'im such a videographer' but giving mid result.

Great video, as always. It's great to see videos from working Directors/DP that are based in the UK.

I’ve watched this video like 15 or so times. Not really for your opinion, tho valid, it’s just that your work is sooooo beautiful to look at. It’s inspiring! Your takes are cool too.

Thanks for sharing. Helpful thoughts and great work you do. PS: heard some audio crackles. 30 euro (or better) lav to the chest takes only a minute! And looks even better hidden. Rycote Undercovers are just 10-20 bucks for 100 uses.

Hey Mate. This is really great footage! Out of curiosity, have you had any issues with the rolling shutter? I've heard it's quite slow
@CamVFilm4 ай бұрын
Cheers! Nop, shot cars at high speed and didn’t run into any issues. It’s noticeable if you’re looking for it but the reality is the client likely doesn’t know what rolling shutter is.

The thing is, it’s so cheap it pays for itself in no time at all. That quality alone makes it worthwhile.

Question about your display LUT. Do you use your own custom LUT or the built in Film to Extended Video LUT from BM? I have found that the image on my screen looks beautiful and well exposed but then when I import into resolve and flip the LUT on, it looks much much different than it did on the display. Usually much darker and more contrasty. Do you experience the same or is it a close match both on the camera and once imported into resolve?

I use a few different luts depending on the tone we’re after. Usually it’s a pretty close match once I’m in Resolve, it may be that your editing monitor needs to be calibrated

Hey dude, just picked up a 6k, just wondering what Ef to L adapter you’re using?
@CamVFilm2 ай бұрын
Hey! I tried the Viltrox adapter but had some issues with it so would recommend the Sigma one instead

nice video, but some of the shots are washed out and some are not. intentional? anyhow I enjoy all your content.

Yeah likely just grading choices between different projects, or if it was the talking to camera sections I had to adjust here and there for natural light changes. Thanks for watching!

Is the Pyxis Netflix approved?
@CamVFilm4 ай бұрын
Not sure on that!
@earnieboy543 ай бұрын
No. Lack of ProRes and no “internal” time code are the limiters. However you only need it if Netflix hires your production company to shoot original content. You can shoot on anything and say it does so well at festivals that companies like Netflix option for it? They’ll acquire it at whatever format you shot and delivered in. The Netflix approval list is only for Netflix produced original content.
