its warmed up enough outside to finally dive into this 20th AE GTI. After some inspecting, this thing needs wayyy more help than I thought. On a good note though, it does run & drive! Thanks for Watching!

Save it man I’m sure there are far worse 20ths or Gli’s out there. This still has a lot of potential!

Good man, deletes are the way and the truth on the 1.8t. Less clutter, less chance for vacuum leaks. Also that PCV system looks crack AF… a lot of people delete that but I personally like keeping it, albeit the 034 silicone setup is my go to as the elbow and pcv valve are billet so they don’t fail as easy. Btw: The air incorrect flow code is from the n249 partial delete (the kidney vacuum reservoir that’s usually over plug 4). There’s a line that goes to the combi valve (that vacuum cap you found) that’s causing it to not get the air it wants. That’ll happen anyway when you SAI delete so I wouldn’t worry about it. You can get it coded out. When you fix the suspension, put in the ECS HD strut bushings. They will last. Also if you replace the thermostat I’d just go all out and replace all coolant flanges with aluminum. The cheap Amazon ones work great if you clean up the burrs. For a man on a budget you can’t go wrong!
