I have a very good fundamental question. Just like the "yen carry trade" issue happened (total amount is 275 trillion yen since 2015) worldwide, is it possible to have a "rupee carry trade"? If not, why not? If so, why doesn't the RBI reduce the interest rate below the US Federal Reserve rate of 5.75% so that all Indians can take advantage and invest in American treasuries/bonds/stocks? why shouldn't governments all over the world so the same?

Sir fuel cost analogy was wrong. 2008 rupee 40 = $1 petrol price was 50 rupees per liter 2024 rupee ~80 = $1 petrol price is 100 rupees per liter. Crude is an import more dependent on dollar to rupee conversion.

Sir, you said if market makes upper circuit and vix is not coming down, then we should be worried. But if vix is measured by difference between bid and ask in options, then the CE seller will be in panic, if market is making upper circuit, and bid will be too high in CE because of upside surprise. Then vix will not come down soon. If you can clarify this doubt.

Hi Basant. In US there is one dark exchange which is called Dark pool. This is kind of off exchange market which don’t impact the live mkt and as per regulation you don’t have to report to exchanges your trade immediately. So while warren sold via dark pool to other institutions in large deals its way easy to sell your shares. And also it help to avoid volatility.

If inflation is taken into consideration, then crude oil also should have increased accordingly. What he is saying is that even after taking into account inflation, crude oil price went down but petrol price went in the opposite direction.

@@les9876 sorry but ur not accurate here. Crude oil prices r decided outside India and in USD, neither is crude produced in India in a decisive quantity. Inflation varies from country to country. Fact tat we had inflation depreciated our currency.
