These cars with manual trans and a few suspension mods are amazing little cars. M3 control arm swap is easy to do. Power wise best bang for the buck is a 330i intake manifold swap (requires ecu flash)

Excellent video! Subscribed! Best 128i muffler delete video on youtube! The clip with the stick was very funny But i was suuuper bummed that you didnt retake the clip include a driving clip from the outside of the car. If you re upload the video with that clip please let me know!

Thanks for the kind words. We will have a second part for the exhaust tip install and we intend to get some more clips for you. Some have already been recorded. Just between work and some recent computer issues we haven’t got the next video out. X-pipe for the mustang has also been filmed so at some point we’ll do some comparisons between the cars as well.

Great video, sounds awesome! Do you guys track or autocross at all? I am thinking about this delete for my 128 but I am concerned it could be too loud for track sound limits? Do you or anyone else have experience with the sound decibels following the delete?

It’s really not too bad. The exhaust parts we showed were about $40. A corded reciprocating saw from Harbor Freight is probably about the same price. You would want an exhaust expander as well. If ours had been working/the right size the torch shouldn’t have been necessary. If you don’t want to buy a jack you could get a cheap set of ramps and back the car on them. If you had to buy everything I’d say around $120. The sound improvement is dramatic especially outside the car.

@@Reecen527 well then your best bet is to call a few local muffler shops and get a few quotes, then once u have the couple hundred bucks or so go get it done there

Hi can somebody help me I want to get a muffler delete on my 128i but there’s a cable on the muffler but the guy I went to said it would cause a check engine if I did it

If it’s what I’m thinking there is a vacuum line that opens and closes the muffler flap/valve. I believe it closes the flap when idling to keep the car quiet but opens under wide open throttle. We just unplugged it and tucked it away. No check engine light at all.

any check engine lights recently ? For the cable on the muffler? I want mine done but guy said it might not pass smog or might cause check engine making me not want it no more but I want mine louder? Any help

It taps off the same vacuum line that runs your brake booster so I'd at least plug it.
