+Anderson Hernandez maybe cause of the slightly different turbos...no idear really or maybe it is just the exhaust design. Also the artificial sound just somehow doesn't feel right but maybe that is just me... The 1M sounds great from the inside (even stock).

+excarnifico13 truly after that BMW introduced the synthetic sound vehicles M is being lost that passion, all previous M models have better sound than current models. They are more beautiful and agile but their sound does not seem a sports car

The M3/M4 uses an S55B30 engine, totally different from the 1M's tuned N54 motor, so they do sound different, even though they are both 3.0L turbo motors.

Auch wenn der Heckspoiler seinen Zweck erfüllt und sicherlich nicht schlecht für Rennstrecke ist, so sieht er auf dem 1er M Coupe einfach scheisse aus. Sorry! Die kleine Carbonlippe ist top, aber der Spoiler ist einfach zu viel des Guten. Wem die Optik egal ist und Wert auf gute Zeiten legt, nur zu! Aber das M Coupe ist eigentlich zu schade dafür.

the direction Akrapovic takes the BMW inline6 engine sound just isn't right, it sounds so fake. Akrapovic works for the M3's V8, but on the 1M's turbo its a properly shit sound. (i drive a 1M - this is not enhanced or improved stock sound - its completely different and utterly crap in resembling the metallic sound of the e46 CSL) it just doesnt sound like a BMW anymore / when i was looking at Akrapovic myself for the massive weight saving over stock exhaust, i was so disappointed. used to have a simple BMW Performance exhaust on my 135i - maybe heavier but sounded miiiillleess better. Meisterschaft Super GT 1M is far more real to the true engine sound.
