I took my car for an oil change, when I got back home it was making that really loud noise, I watch your video and took it back to the dealership, and in fact it was missing that part, they put a new one and the noise went away! Thank you!

mine starting doing the same thing right after the oil change and when I seen this video I remembered that the oil cap cage was no on my cap. This will save me a lot of money and unnecessary parts that would not have fixed the issue. Thanks! Thumbs up from me.

Man it's so funny I came across your video. Had the same problem with the car in my shop. I also removed the cap and found the part was gone. Was getting vamos faults as well and all this happened same way as your customer stated. I still wasn't sure but I knew it was an issue and oh man you're right the high pitched squeal was insane!! You confirmed my suspicions. Thanks man!! Great post, I appreciate you and yes you did help me on this one!

My BMW 323i has been also screaming sometimes and other times not at all. After watching this vid I took it to a mechanic with my oil filter in hand. Turns out this part is not missing which I thought was a given. So back to the drawing board for me. However another clue for you is when the mechanic opened the oil fill lid it stopped screaming again. But then as soon as he put it back on it continued. I may have to now take it to a euro mechanic arghhhhh

My friend, I believe your valve cover may need to be replaced. The pcv valve is built into the valve cover and when it fails, it causes a very similar noise. Let me know how you do

My BMW 323i has been also screaming sometimes in short bursts but 2 other times it starts squealing and does not stop; coincidentally it happened these 2 times within 5 minutes after refueling and would not stop until I got home (5-10 min drive of constant high-pitched squeal that turns heads as you drive down the street). By the time I get it home and my husband cranks it later, it is not squealing and the engine light is off. This past time, it was screaming like crazy and I was just trying to get it home but when I deaccelerated to make a turn, the car cut off and left me in the middle of the road. But minutes later started fine and drove home with no squealing and no engine light. How could this be related to refueling? So now since it is no longer squealing and there is no engine light on, would it even do any good to take it in for service center to read the diagnostics?

I think the change after refueling is probably just coincidence. Generally, that high pitched noise vacuum related. Most likely causes from my experience are at the oil filter cup or the pcv valve which is built into the valve cover assembly.

I’ve got this code. Did this fix it?
@kingkwamda1st Жыл бұрын
Yes. In my case it did. Just remove the oil filter cup and look to see if that piece is missing
