This dude saved me a lot of money. Thank you for the video. It was right on the money. The part was like 50 bucks and took 5 minutes to replace. The minute I opened it up, I seen the crack. Replaced it and solved the problem. This is the best video yet.

Hi there, Thanks for the video, it was really helpful. I was inspecting my PCV, and when I removed that plastic engine cover, I found there was some sort of foam-like sound insulation material between the valve cover and the cover itself. When I tried to remove it, it seemed stuck to the valve cover and got a bit damaged in the process. I noticed your car in the video didn't have that insulation. Is it essential, and should I consider getting a replacement? I appreciate your insights.

I have a quest because I’m questioning the integrity of my mechanic. How does this crack? I replaced my entire valve cover gasket 7 months ago and it started doing this for the first time ever. I told my mechanic and he said he would check it but charge me labor. I’m going to fix it myself after watching this but what causes it to crack?

Is happening because is not a good quality product. Is nothing related with maintaining. New product are better strong and upgraded

@@frankguerrero3444 The reason I asked is because from my understanding, a new one is supposed to last at least 7 years. The mechanic I go to replaced the entire valve cover gasket which cost me over $500 in May of 2023. I suspect he didn't change it at all or it wasn't brand new.

@@DJMarcBlends hi marcus, i am a mechanic. it is very common to purchase aftermarket brand parts to save on cost because dealer prices are so high. often times aftermarket parts are not as high quality and long lasting. this is the reason i believe you have early failure. not due to any shady thing your mechanic has done. also this part is not the same part as a valve cover gasket, this is the pcv or ccv diaphram that is causing the noise. valve cover gasket is not the cause of the issue.

My 325d is making similar sound but not so loud what can it be the same problem also mine is drinking oil not leaking . No smoking just making a very light whistle sound like the airflow might be blocked but why it drinking oil please can you help brother
