For the grass test, you could have lined up parallel to your driveway, one wheel on grass, the other on the pavement. Do a small peelout. If the lsd is working properly, you should get a good launch, grip the pavement wheel properly, and maybe pull towards the grass because of the grass being slippery & dragging your car. If it was not working properly, like an open-diff, the grass wheel would spin spin spin, pavement wheel just coast along, and it would feel like car isn't going anywhere, like if both wheels were on grass, even though one is not. Great video! Just ordered an MFactory diff for mine. Hopefully install goes smoothly, and I don't snap the stock axles I'm re-using. ☠️

Awesome! Throttle steer is much more fun with a LSD!
@OCOWGTR274 жыл бұрын
It changes the way the steering feels because you have a 1.5way clutch diff. Will have mild understeer compared to a 1 way or open on corner entry. Its why a torsen style diff is great for the road because they dont have that feeling. But clutch diff feel is def different and a little nicer if you're going to be going sideways - slightly more predictable. Hence why for track, most people recommend a clutch diff because of the predictability of it. EDIT: Im torn on my m140i between wavetrac (torsen with preload) and a OS Giken 70% lock clutch diff.

With your kind of power it will always slip in 1st gear, the lsd will make the biggest difference on accelerating out of tight corners (no more on wheel peel) and drifting...
