save your engine from unnecessary damage.

Great video - but you skipped the actual refilling of the oil reservoir. The links provided are for 5 quarts but other videos watched after this say to use 6 to 7 quarts.

I second never using any solvents/degreaser/surfactants or anything that can degrade the oil quality to clean inside the oiling system just use a rag.

For sure man 👍 Doing that extra step it's definitely important, not to add unnecessary wear and tear. Also consider getting that magnetic oil drain plug too. Those small metal shavings after a while can act like sand paper against the internals.

@@CrazyCarMods yeah I need to look into that, where did you get yours? I’m just about to do a bunch of the gaskets, valve Cover and turbos on my n54. Dreading the turbo job haha but I can’t handle the rattle anymore

Oh man, replacing those turbos are definitely a job 🤪 I got the oil drain plug from ecs tuning. I got the link in the description if wanna check it out.

Big mistake using "Brake Parts Cleaner" inside the oil filter cap! You do not want that solvent inside the engine mixing with the oil in any way shape or form, even the residue can be damaging to engine metal parts when the engine continuously circulates the oil.
