Everytime I bleed the brakes on my RT or LT, I come back to these two videos just to refresh my memory. Easy to follow, as long as you pay attention!

For whatever reason my servo's are not running the front breaks are hard as steel? 07 R1200R let me know if you have any ideas. I'm planning on bleeding the breaks this weekend, not the fancy one involving the ABS like you did, don't have the tools

But I do not understand why the front and back callipers needed to be removed for the final bleed. The disks do the same job as the piece of timber/pine, thus why remove at all? Any help here would be much appreciated.
@HEKOService5 жыл бұрын
O'Rusty dRipper I believe, it is to fix the pistons at maximum „in“ position, which is not possible with the worn disc and pads. If you level the reservoires with pistons „in“ to their max, it surely will drop down a little when the worn parts are back into operation, but this should still be in the ok range . But you will now have the possiblity to change discs and pads at any time later without touching the closed liquid systems . If you change Disc and Pads later, the fluid level will be ok and not over Max. You will definetly not have the brake fluid spilling and leaking from the Reservoire because it is over the Max level by using his method. If you will be able to bring the pistons in , at all. Hope you got, what I meant.( I am not a native speaker 😉)
