BMW 530i or 530e: Which 5-Series Should You Buy?

The G30 BMW 5-Series is undoubtedly one of the finest executive sedans in the market now. It offers a brilliant balance of refinement, features and driving pleasure.
In Malaysia there are two models currently on offer, the petrol powered 530i which is less powerful but feature packed. The other is the 530e, which is a plug-in hybrid that offers more power and impressive fuel savings but does not have as much features as the more expensive petrol variant.

I rushed into purchasing a 530i Touring with a March 2018 reg. Its not bad and I am still enjoying it after 70 000 kms😊 The build quality is superb. My car has some nice features which I enjoy and use all the time such as heads-up display, heated steering (very useful in cold scandinavia), dakota leather seats, panorama roof, adaptive cruise control and spacious interiors😊

530i Because it’s a sport so it should handle like a sport and drive like a sport simple otherwise go and buy the SE model for a bit more Comfort many thanks for showing me this vid

Just got myself the 530e 2023 with all the options, a bit disappointed in the battery pack. It's slow to charge and depletes easilty, way too easily here in the UK anyway. On pure ICE drive, it's difficult for me to say how much more lagging it is compared to the standard 530i since I haven't tried that other one.

I personally preferred the 530i. In Malaysia, it offered better specs and also seemed to drive better as well. Sorry for what you are facing with your car. Hope it works out.

Use it in hybrid mode around towns & cities. On the motorway at a steady speed use battery control to top it back up if required. Charge at home on a 13a plug socket takes around 5 hours & less on a Zappy charger. (Octopus energy is half price after midnight to 4am) Short journeys on full EV work out to equivalent of 90 mpg as the ICE will not be used. A Phev is a bit more to think about but soon becomes second nature.

Floods will affect any type of car except for a 4x4... but if you're asking if it will affect the electronics, then yes.

Just got e60 530d, Did all eco stupid things like egr and dpf deleted,Put hybrid turbo and hard remap... pushing 330hp for more i need 219 injectors out of 535d.. its goes like hell and run nicely... next is engine rebuild and pearlwhite paint... best invested 10k of my life... :) old cars are beast vs new modern plastic shiiit!! They try to kill it with co2 taxes and rest pice of eco shiit but who cares...my car 330 000km still like new... just doing refresh ;)

530e comes with Lasers also. Just depends what You pick ordering the car. Same as ACC. Useless video. 👎🏽
