Awesome! Just picked up a '97 540i automatic W 230,000 miles on the clock, in very good condition for FREE! Put about 3K into it and it's been my daily driver for a few months now. Looking forward to more E-39 videos!

Great video. I've got the 03 m sport. Do you have any tips on the fuel filter replacement?
@BurninGas8.13 жыл бұрын
It’s under drivers side floor under plastic cover pretty easy to change once ya get the plastic floor cover off

Have a heavy rag handy when you actually remove the lines because BMW does not have a port anywhere along the fuel rail to release the pressure, and a good amount of fuel is likely to come spraying out.

How do you fix the second issue, my 540i is misfiring and I’m looking for possible ways to fix it

Pull codes and i can give you my input. Start at night with engine covers off and inspect coils with it idling. A lot of times they arch to valve cover and you can see the purple spark in the dark easily is first test ... this costs no money unless ya see the spark

If the tires are wearing on the Inside its bc of the control arms that's known
@BurninGas8.13 жыл бұрын
It’s actually because bmws are aligned like that and if you drive hard they squat a lot... punch in a five forty i on a alignment computer and look at numbers it calls for they call to be out from factory... 0 these numbers instead of the called for settings and you will get perfect tire wear in back... I done both my m5 and 540i myself both wear even now
@larryjohnson81683 жыл бұрын
@@BurninGas8.1 have you checked the control arms for play? If you take them off they'll probably be shot, if you haven't replaced them and with high mileage

Control arms are fine I have enough mechanical knowledge that I don’t drive vehicles with worn out parts ... camber bolts go through bushings though
