Uh-oh!! that grill now looks so ugly on 7 series. It looks as hideous in 7 series as charismatic it looked in X7. The quintessential kidney grill looks sooo perfect on the new 3 series that also has an increase in size from the previous generation. Dunno what BMW designers were thinking while giving this humongous grill to the 7er.

Bought a 7 series in 2018 and was a little pissed about the fact i‘d have to get the pre facelift model because my situation didn‘t allow me to wait 1 more year. Now as I see the facelift.. I‘m quite happy I got the pre-facelift model

I don't know why people dislike the front grill. Most of peope were excited when the Gran Lusso Coupe Concept was presented, and now they made the 7 series look like it as we asked for. What's wrong with it now? Almost every car has big grill nowadays, which makes the car have some presence on the road, and personally I have been waiting for so long BMW made a sick car like this. One downside: the interior still looks like a 2002 7 series. They need to step up the game inside as well. Great review as always, Thomas!

@Diana Adrianna well the future doesn't look too bright for their top range as there's absolute masses of people complaining about the looks on forums. And quite few of them might've bought these. Ofc it's personal, some like it a lot, no problem with that. But together we're happy that we're stuck in the past, they had good looking cars then. Certainly wouldn't even touch this thing if I had such amount of disposable money, much better options from other brands. Don't assume everyones poor on the internet, might be in for a surprise, babe

This is the most beautiful grille. I think they are trying to match Mercedes-Benz and Rolls-Royce's in size. BMW has done a great job. I wish all future BMWs have grilles like this.

Great review. Love the exterior design, especially the front and rear LED lights, and the enlarged kidneys. It really gives the car a massive stance on the road. Imagine this coming up in your rear view mirror.

Thanks Thomas! I very much enjoy your reviews. Always very classy and informative. I’m a fan of the new BMW 7, including the new larger grills present in the 7, the X7, and the X5. I think the larger grill gives the car more presence on the road, while maintaining at least some semblance of the classic BMW grill design. I also like what BMW has done with the interior - historically top-notch build quality, coupled now with more luxurious details, textures, and finishes. Bravo!

I’ve had several 5’s and now 19 7 series, They need to redesign the instrument panel and center console. The cup holders in the center need to be moved behind the shift shift, cause you can’t easily reach HVAC or radio buttons. Also add cup holders in front side pockets. This current IP has been around for 10 years....

I have my old trusty e90 3 series and I am very pleased by its performance now it has 175k miles and my was once it it hits that 200k I wanted the Cadillac ct6 ... f that I want the all new 7 series wi only live once and I love that new front grill stands out from the crowd!!!
