Great work guys! Exciting to see this integration with MOST. Regarding the extra microphone - would it be possible to read the factory microphone frames from the cars MOST bus? Or alternatively use a splitter cable like other units do and unilise the factory microphone

You can use a mic splitter

@@germancarfan the current splitters on market are for a mono mic, while these units have a stereo one - the sound is very bad with a splitter. I’m sure we can make one work, but if it can just be plug and play, it’s ideal.

There is a whole thread on e90post about how to code it Here is what I found: Headunit -> Expert Mode -> 3000 HMI Find CDMM_CHANGER_3 option and change it to mp3_cdc CODE -> START CODING

They released a new version that has a DSP recently. So to answer your question: No, but it can if you adjust the settings

Hi, Will it work on bmw x1 e84 2011? I have navigation + bluetooth phone calls but no bluetooth audio streaming.

works with all X1 with CIC radio, coding is needed though if there is no cd changer attached to head unit

Can you listen to the oem radio stations while viewing Apple car play? I feel like when the user has the radio on, then selects “CD” to view the CarPlay, the radio will turn off and and the Mr12Volt audio will take over. Is this correct? Is it possible to listen to the radio while viewing CarPlay?

It works in CD mode only where it emulates its function within the MOST bus connection. therefore you cant have radio and carplay at the same time. what you can do is to install a radio station app on your phone to achieve that.

@@mr12volt Well OK, but then you have to use a good and cheap "unlimited" data plan for your phone. Initially I said "wow, I want on of these" but this limitation is a no-go for me. Sad.

It’s called the CIC CarPlay from Mr12volt for cars that came with the CIC navigation
