BMW coding using a MAC and setting up ncexpert profile.

in this quick video i show you guys/girls what computer i use for coding. although i have a windows computer i use, i mainly use a Macbook air, but i use a program called PARALLELS and i installed windows xp. this allows me to easily install the ncsexpert to code. i also show you how to edit the expertmode profile so you can use it the same way as revtors, so no need to add revtors profile to ncsexpert.

I got to your channel way back with your excellent Aux wiring instructions which are the best instructions out there for removing the trim panels! I'm having probs with connecting my laptop to the car. I followed your Aux coding journey and it's awesome you got your Air running with the software. I need some advice. I've spent way to long trying to set up my MacBook Air with INPA and NCSExpert have have tried numerous times and scenarios. With multiple clean installs of the OS and Parallels too. (Using Parallels 7 on Snow Leopard.) I get all everything loaded and and seem to run fine except I can never get the car to connect with it. Can't get the Black Dots in INPA or get NSCExpert to scan the car. I'm using the correct K+DCAN USB cable, got the drivers installed fine and the cable shows up fine. But there's something not linking with the car. I'm left thinking it's something to do with the way the USB is handled internally with Parallels. Because of course the Port set-up instructions for when using a PC laptop cannot be done. Did you do anything specific to get yours running?

what settings do I need to have on parallels so that it can pick up read/write from the OBD cable the correct way.

Can did you have to do anything special to use inpa like firewall or something

I’ve had no issues leaving firewalls ok but if your having connection issues try having it off see if it works

+roskinc have you come across a faulty CCC? Mine doesn't turn on or when it does and I turn off the car and then turn it on again it won't come on. Have you heard of something like this? Also what software do you use I want to get into coding my e60. Thanks for the time.

Kinda misleading title... adding either w/ Win XP, w/ Dual boot/bootcamp Parallels, or similar to the title would've been a lot more accurate.
