BMW E28: Flock-It Dashboard Fix

If I knew it would come out looking pretty decent, then I would have taken more time to prep and do it well. Just goes to show, again, how important the prep is.
Oh yeah... I'm glad the fix for the wire worked and I got my dash lights back!

I just put a reminder on my calendar to come back and ask you 3 years from now how it held up ;) I'm getting sick of looking at the cracks on mine. I do wish a crack-free one wasn't so insanely expensive, and such a pain in the ass to install.

Seriously, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a crack free dash. The ones online cost almost as much as a whole parts car. To be honest (not sure if my dash had been taken out a few times), the removal of the dashboard wasn’t as hard or time consuming as I expected, so I would say don’t be afraid to work on it!

Only things I’d recommend to do differently, is using a bondo that’s specifically for dashboards, and also using a dremel tool to bore out the cracks in sort of a V-shape. Will help in preventing the cracks for re appearing in the future
