The hood alone must have been hours of work. Steaming the engine bay is probably the cleanest way to detail without making more work for yourself. Amazing as always.

great job... as soon as i saw the bonnet I knew exactly what you were going to do lol With all those exposed electrics... steam is defo the route...would love to give steam a try myself. 40 years old it may be but you can see its been touched... has modern pneumatics for the hood.

from what i understand the cosmoline was only applied to cars shipped to the americas as a rust prohibitor while they were on ships. it was supposed to be removed by dealerships on arrival but american BMW dealership owners in the 80s were too coked out of their minds to bother

Nerta diamond active foam, mixed 50/50 with water, spray everything under the bonnet. Let sit for 5 mins then blast off with a gerni. Spray with Koch Chemie MP Done.

This could include steps such as washing, decontaminating, polishing, applying ceramic coating, and tidying up the interior surfaces in outdoor environment as many people don't have garages😊

Why was dry-ice blasting not chosen for the job? Video of dry-ice blasting shows use of cleaning chemicals is avoided and commentary on the system is very positive.

Европейцы любят усложнять процесс… У него 8,5/10 машин просто пыльные. Например за чистку кузова, шаговую полировку керамической подложкой CarPro Essence и два слоя керамики он просит 1000 Евро. Это фактически 1-1,5 дня работы. Учитывая, что у него график с 12 до 18, это пара дней
