Hi, which brakes setup do you have and would you recommend stock brakes for a first track day in the mk2 golf?
@Jims_racing Жыл бұрын
Hi, these are g60 brakes 280mm, grooved dics and CL RC8 pads, using ate type 200 fluid. For your first track day, i would buy a set of pads and change you fluid to something that can take more heat - id do this as a minimum! Any standard brakes particularly standard pads will last you all of a lap before you lose the pedal.

@@Jims_racing Cheers James. I was thinking of doing the pads. Will add fluids to the list 🙏

@@Jims_racing you are right,I have seen it now. For the rear calipers, you only needed the caliper or also the mounts/ whole assembly ?
@Jims_racing Жыл бұрын
@@ads13998 no the mk4 rear calipers bolt straight on 👍🏼 as do the standard mk2 handbrake cables
@ads13998 Жыл бұрын
@@Jims_racing Thanks for the info. on my 8v gti, rear right one has an issue with the handbrake assembly being locked (something similar with what you have described). Have some new cables just to find them calipers :)
