Hi guys, welcome to part 2 of the E36 turbo conversion.
In this video we finally see what's inside the turbo kit, and unfortunately we will encounter a couple problems along the way. Some of them will be solved in this video some of them in the next ones.
The biggest issue with this kit is that the flange of the exhaust manifold is completely different from this version of the engine, so its not compatible with the M43 engines...so this video is about bulding my own flange with my 0 welding experience as you will see... so enjoy watching!

oh damn boys..you have gone into the "rabbit hole" with this manifold 😅and more over turbo doesn't fit right into it...i know, that if you have in your garage a grinder and welder you have every tool in the world but damn...You should do what so ever research, even on yt, how to turbo the m43 😛You can make an extension pipe right from STOCK exhaust manifold (which you have to do anyway 🥲) or you can make a simple merge collector (steel flanges exactly for m43 are available) like I did. Look at my m43t build, which I've done 2 years ago. Drives and drifts still strong on stock motor. Maybe it will give you some hints for next steps :) I will follow your journey, but don't make it to complicated, please 😜Cheers from Poland

Looks like you dont have the 1.8is motor. I think the chinese exhaust manifold fits on the “is” motor

Exactly... Unfortunately I couldn't find a plug and play kit and I realised that it's the wrong manifold when it was too late so I had to go with the flow 😅😂

quel kit che avete preso su aliexpress ha i collettori che vanno su altro tipo di 318i. voi avete un m43b18 184e2 ?

@@duckworth5609 no non monta la flangia di questo collettore come si vede dal video. Secondo me si fa prima a modificare il vecchio collettore tagliandolo e saldando la flangia del turbo se hai la possibilita di saldare. altrimenti prendere il collettore da internet che si trovano tipo in america mi pare sui 300 euro.
