Guys it really works! Maybe you should know, you’re not going to pull that whole lock to the opening side.. you just have to move that plastic wich holds the cable of the passenger sided lock & push it slightly over 🦾 do that movement, which the cable would do! 😊

hey man i've managed to get the widest screwdriver i've got into the correct place. twisting the driver does move the "tab" but it's still not releasing, any ideas? My "tab" is moving much more than yours appears to need to move

Maybe the cable broke in between the two latches in that case it’s only opening one latch. You might have to pull your front bumper off and start taking things apart to be able to get to it better

@@ProblemSolverGarageSuccess! I didn't have to even use a screwdriver or remove bottom bumper shroud. Instead I popped the front kidneys out, peeled back the plastic guard and used a pair of expansion bent tip cir-clip pliers, it was too easy! Many many 🙏 Thanks! Now I have to replace that damm cable!

@@audiobunny1767 what did you pull? I’ve been outside trying to do this all day the screw on that latch on mine either unscrews or tightens. It doesn’t pop the hood I didn’t want to unscrew it all the way?

He’s not unscrewing anything. He’s using the screw driver flat head to open the latch. Like he said re watch the video and actually pay attention to it man.

One of the worst designs by BMW to basically ripoff the customer on a regular basis. I was quoted $1200 to replace the “hood latches and cable” for a 328i with 45k miles on it. How ridiculous is that?
