As a 100% severely disabled person, this is no longer manageable. Workshop if it can take 100-150€ both sides! I get a pair right and left perfectly OK for 140 € and can change them myself with some help from a friend. It's easier for me! ☺️

Hola Iván! Hay kits para sustituir la lámpara halógena por una de xenon sin tener que cambiar todo el faro, no obstante revisa las normativas de tu país, aquí en España mucha gente los instala, aunque son ilegales...

Hola, me alegro que te guste el vídeo. El destornillador que yo uso es de 250 mm de longitud. Las patillas puedes adquirirlas en Amazon, Ebay, etc…

Can anyone tell me if the adjusters for the xenon facelift headlight are the same with the adjusters for the halogen facelift headlight? I can't find the oem code and don't know which adjusters to order

tengo los faros halogenos,son iguales?y el repuesto seria el mismo?

Si tu coche es post si son iguales aunque sean halógenas, pero si es pre (fabricación hasta septiembre de 2000) las patillas creo que son distintas y también el faro se podría abrir por delante aplicando calor (ya que la silicona que utilizan como sellado es más suave que la de los E39 post).

Lo que me ha parecido ver que el tornillo de la izquierda no es paciencia, es tener un pulso a prueba de bombas jejeje. Habria que ver la posibilidad de meterle un poco de cinta de carrocero a la herramienta y que sujete un poco el tornillo si no, me da que debe ser lo peor ese tornillo. Me temo que con mis llaves actuales no me podré liar y tendré que buscar la torx 15 extra larga. Por cierto, donde has pillado las piezas? Yo la he visto por aliexpress pero no se si recomiendas algun sitio distinto. Lo que me ha llamado la atención además es que no cambias la parte que va atornillada.

@@atr002 Así es, necesitas una t15 extra larga sino olvídate, porque no te alcanza con una normal. Para asegurar el tornillo puedes usar cinta de carrocero como bien indicas o meter un trozo pequeño de bolsa de plástico o similar en la cabeza del tornillo y aprisionarlo con la t15 y así tampoco se mueve. Las patillas las pillé en Amazon (son made in China) pero no estoy muy satisfecho con ellas, la cabeza era un poco más pequeña que las originales y tenía que tener cuidado porque se salían de alojamiento, que como indicas hay que reutilizarlo porque no te lo venden con los kits. No obstante, todo salió bien, instalé los faros en el coche, los regulé y han quedado al pelo. Cualquier duda aquí estoy, saludos!

@@TheultimateDIYmachine podrías hacer un video de como regular los faros. A más de uno le vendría bien. A mi me tocó calentar, despegar , vamos desmontar el faro completo. No sabía que se puede cambiar de esta manera sin desmontar tanto. Menos mal que solo era el izquierdo.
