This video demonstrates how to the replace both engine mounts on the 2000-2003 BMW E39 M5's S62 V8 engine.
Left motor mount: 22111092895
Right motor mount: 22111092896
(4) Bottom 13mm nut torque: 16lb/ft
(2) Top 16mm nut torque: 35lb/ft

The customer requested fresh motor mounts, perhaps transmission mounts will follow at a later time.

Would new engine and trans mounts potentially improve positive shifter feel? I recall bad engine mounts impacted shifter feel/directness on my S2000 when I changed those out.

Extremely worn engine/trans bushings could effect shifter feel, but not as much as the worn out shifter carrier bushings and transmission selector rod joint do.

The E39 fan clutch is a 32mm

Looks difficult without a vehicle hoist . What does this cost ?

A lift can go for anywhere between $1,000 and $10,000, plus installation, which requires thick enough concrete, enough ceiling room, 220 volts, etc etc.
